Twin Block Course

An intensive one-day course to develop practical and theoretical knowledge and skills to
underpin the successful fabrication of the Twin Block Appliance.
Theoretical Content to include:

– Case evaluation and suitability
– Use of Pre-functional appliance
– Technical considerations for fabrication
– Fabrication Technique
– Clinical Application of the Twin Block
– Twin Block modification and reactivation
– Alternative Twin Block Designs, Including Direct Bonded, Class III and thermoformed variants.
– Alternative processing techniques
– Fabrication of stage II appliance for Twin Block treatment
Clinical application of stage II twin Block appliance

Practical Content:

– Delegates will be given the choice of removable Twin Block appliance designs to Fabricate using the Cold-cure technique.
– Delegates will be given the opportunity to fabricate a stage II appliance and / or carry out laboratory technique for re-activation.

Geeignet für: Experienced and improver Dental Technicians who either work in Orthodontic technology or have an interest in furthering skills in more advanced Orthodontic technology techniques.
